Behind The Smile
Behind the fake smile of happiness is nothing but a thousand tears.
The long years of abuse and hatred towards me
Making me not into a strong person but a broken,
Angry and hateful person
Hiding my feelings behind a smile,
Fooling everyone in thinking I was happy
In a time of need no one was there
Love hungry, I ran to many but all had rejecting me
Lonesome thoughts of suicide come knocking at my door
The painful cut on my wrist speak about the horrid deeds humankind had bestowed
The meaningless days ahead with not sigh of hope
Have brought pain and retaliation agent innocent others
The tormenting demons within have their way
These scars will never leave nor heal
They will forever be apart of my broken, black heart
I’m so ugly, so ugly with rejection.
