Wakened

Its when you aren't looking
that stuff happens,
either good or otherwise,
and knocks you off your feet.

So that though I always thought
she was hot and interesting
and dense
with wakened knowing,

I didn't think there was much room or interest
for what probably wasn't meant to be
in any event.

So when she wondered aloud about a movie,
and I said what the fuck lets go,
it was simply
a very very
cool deal.

That was two weeks ago
and we still haven't seen the movie yet.

very nice, Taiyu. it reminds me of the famous Dorothy Parker quote when asked why she hadn't been to the theatre recently: "I've been too f**king busy. And vice versa."

i love how short but packed it is, with a simple situation that can alter the course of life or be as trivial as simple existence. i like it...great language....
