One Single Tear

I guess I could be considered a strong person. Though my strength isn't in the physical. My strength is in keeping my emotions in and holding strong that way. I don't cry in front of people. I never had. I suck it up and keep it in. I guess it's not the healthiest thing in the world; but, it works for me.

I'd rather not have people see my weak side. I'd rather not have people stare at me with pity while I sit there with unwanted and unneeded tears flowing down my face. I'd rather just say that I am sad or I feel like shit, and leave it at that.

Today, my friends and I were sitting around talking. Then, it happened. I don't know how. I don't really know why. All I know is that it did. It scared me, and it didn't relieve my stress or tension any. It just made me feel bad all day.

In one moment, that strong extirior I had built crashed. That tall wall broke. That unbreakable fence collapsed. It all fell, at the start of

One

Single

Tear.

I truly love how the structure of this is written. The words used are very simplistic and don't ask for a person to push to understand what's going on. It evokes memories, emotions, feelings, and thoughts.

This is a very powerful piece for how effortless it is to read it.

Your writing reminding me of some i have in books stashed away of why you are strong once you let that one single tear fall.

My truly favorite part of all this is it is from your heart and it is when you are most broken. The only words used are the only words that can come through your breath. I love writing from the heart. Continue to write.

Hi. Nice writing. Do you want to feel that bottled up and sad? There is a dignity to it, but if you have painful feelings they could also well up when you least expect them. Such flashes of feeling could cause you anxiety and undermine your efforts to build the kind of life you want.

It is a beautfil piece of writing. I will post a poem that is a response to yours.

I also use the word shit, I hope to some effect as you do. Sometimes the word says it all.
