Forever and a Day

Forever and a Day
By Alain Ortega

Some days she just forgets to get up and walk away
Away from the pain
Living her life by day she loses
Loses what cannot be saved

She gets so tired of being afraid
Tired of being betrayed but still
Day by day she sits by
And watches the waves

She gets so tired of this pain she sees
Its all so real
Nothing comes free
She cries her tears and follows her fears

She gets so tired of being afraid
Worrying away
Days of laughter
Spent sitting and watching the waves

She still hopes that one day he'll come home
Like it was meant all along
And still the note reads
July, 4th 2007

In loving memory
She sits in her pain
And remembers what he would say
Forever she will sit

Forever and a day.

Wow. Depressing, but in a good way. I think it hit home pretty well.
