I thought of her again last night
and how I'll never hold her
I won't hear her first cry
or watch her grow older
she won't say she loves me
as she gently falls asleep
I won't hold her close,
but my love is deep
I shed a lonesome tear
then I sliced my flesh to watch it bleed
I drew an "A" for my little Anna
she will remain a part of me
I don't have my daughter
and I never will
for this kind of pain,
there is no pill
I won't hold her hand
and walk her to school
now look at me!
I'm a broken fool!
she was meant to be mine!
but a lie took her away
now my baby won't breathe
and won't see me everyday
I shed some lonesome tears

We shouldn't outlive our children. It breaks the circle of life and has to be the most painful loss of all. That aching sense of loss comes out in your writing - very intense!
sometimes souls come back. and maybe she's an anna bird at your window, an maybe she's the breeze in your hair...and she might have spread herself all over the world for you. and in this, she is always part of your life. :_
