A Lament

Abandoned,
Like a star at dawn;
Silent, distant,
Simple -

Lonely,
Like the sound of birdswings
Echoing across an empty market square,

Or like an adolescent in their first foreign city,
Going out into the rain,

Full of courage,
Too sad to bear:

The morning fills my heart
With its heavy dew

For no clear reason.

Your use of nature, the way you interiorize it to express your emotion is reminiscent of Lorca
