Quite Peaceful Flying
All was so quiet
as I slowly walked
my spirits way.
Right to the point
that the overhanging
ledge there made.
A peaceful day,
a reddened haze.
A few clouds simply hanging white
contrasted against an illuminating, fiery gaze
and I stood soft
with my arms outstretched
for the warmth in my own eyes.
The wind gently caressing
my untouched skin.
I stood on my toes
and with one tiny push
I was sent over the edge,
that overhanging ledge.
Everything around,
all that I could see,
let me hold its beauty
and held me in its arms.
I felt so peaceful,
so loved and so loving.
I would swear
that I was flying.
