Too Long Away

It's cold and I've been busy. The Maggie and Della stories are rocking around my head, demanding their modicum of attention but I've had to put them towards the back of my mind. It's coming on Easter and my business is in its second busiest season, with babka, poppy seed bread and walnut bread orders filling my living room.

I'm in between assignments. Another was supposed to have begun two weeks ago but paperwork has intervened. In the meantime, I've cleaned the house, harassed my recruiter, driven to bakeries, packed boxes and called the post office.

Meanwhile, Maggie and Della press. Finish us! They're relentless. The Ties That Bind has a long way to go. I'm living it at night, imagining the characters doing what I've decided they're going to do. Now all I need is time!

I know how you mean about a story not leaving you alone, and they seem to demand the attention when you don't have it to give!
I look forward to reading more when it gets finished!
