Best Case Scenario

I don't think I'll ever try to quit smoking,

I don't want to feel like a failure more than I have to.

Catching flipped coins only half of the time.

It's hard to not have a complex over my lazy eye.

God makes us all perfect, right? We shouldn't change who we are.

I'm on five different medications because God made me schizophrenic.

Dad says, "You're pathetic."
The doctor says, "Take your meds."
Mom says not a word for the last two years, but she used to say, "Ask your father."
I say to myself, "It'll all be over soon."
God says nothing as usual.
The voices says, "Off yourself."
Mr. B says, "Take them off slower."
I say to myself, "It'll all be over soon."
Jimmy says, "Where's your fucking lunch money?"
The Monopoly man says, "Do not pass 'Go', do not collect two-hundred dollars."
The news says, "It's poisonous."
I say to myself, "It'll all be over soon."
The priest says, "Forty Hail Mary's ought to do the trick."
The police officer says, "Does he have any tattoos or scars anywhere little guy?"
Vicky says, "Hell no, I'm going with Robbie."
Eight years later I say to myself, "Don't worry about it, I promise, it'll all be over soon."

Very honest. Avoiding complexes and too many medications, something I can relate to. I read the "improve your critiques" bullshit and it says you shouldn't say things like "I can relate to this." But if writing doesn't stir similar emotion in one, then what the fuck is it for eh?

Bravo as usual.

I like this one a lot although I think you might be able to continue it a bit longer if you get what I'm saying.
