As I Sit In Camouflage
As I sit to read and write,
I have plans with her in sight;
For she is coming up the road,
and I must look a little old!
As she walks through the door
I wish to jump up off the floor,
To grab her, kiss her, maybe more!?
But I must not, I must control!
To conceal my wish is a fight,
But I may still win later tonight!

Ye..why do you have to jump off the floor????
Otherwise it's beautiful..esp. "To conceal my wish is a fight". What more one can ask for??
Lovely. |

woo hoo, go for it. Only one line had me thrown for a bit...
"I wish to jump up off the floor,"
...had me thinking this was a dog waiting for "mommy" to come home. But then I read more.
While the dog angle would have certainly put a strange twist on this, I don't think that was your intention.
Okay, maybe I need less coffee in my diet. |
