Tsuki no Namida

Her beloved night
A time for sacred silence
Is holy no more
Overrun by the darkness
Despite her pure light
Now, the once neutral shadows
Are hiding monsters
A breeding ground for demons
Her tears are streaming
She gave us sacred silence
As a time of thought
Not a time of destruction
When we act so thoughtlessly

Author's note: "Tsuki no Namida" means "Tears of the Moon"

I enjoyed this on the first read, Rie, but liked (and understood) it far more once I'd seen your note at the bottom. What a great image - the tears of the moon caused by all our human folly. Love this. And thought it read fine without punctuation (sorry, Cheryl/Alien).

I'd change 'time of thought' to 'time for thought' and do the same with the 'destruction' phrase.

I like this but it really REALLY needs punctuation. I was almost passing out due to breathlessness by the time I got to the end.

Punctuation would really break it up and ENHANCE its meaning.

Also, you've used the phrase 'sacred silence' twice which weakens what is a nice line.

The lack of punctuation actually spoiled this for me.
