Cabaret dancers
twist
and
coil
silhouetted
by lust
in gaudy red
dresses that kiss
their sickly skin
(which always
hides behind the red,
behind the honky-tonk tunes)
on a salacious
stage
lit by the raw
ardor
of solitary,
staring eyes.

I loved this...it is absolutely beautiful....however, i'd omit the second stanza....bc it brought me out of the poem and back into the here and now for a second...which i don't think you really want to do...the visual is stronger uninterrupted
