Our Love is Charmed

"I can't do this anymore,"
I remembering telling you that night...
The stars stopped twinkling,
the moon didn't seem as bright...
You walked away with your head down,
Just like you have before...
I heard an owl in the distance,
an Indian chant of wayward warn...
I knew not to let you go,
but I no longer had a hold...
I didn't need or want you,
but somehow I did I know...
I went on with my life three days,
Then the truth was finally told...
You looked at me like never before,
with your brown eyes so blue...
You told me that you had never loved,
Real love you never knew...
You took my hand and pulled me,
softly into your loving arms...
I am in love with you, you told me,
I never knew...our love is charmed.

Quite a lyrical story...wonderful use of imagery.
Perhaps we should join each readers list
