Knowing By Being 2
Knowing by being..
Has a whole other meaning..
By being myself.. completely
I'll come to know myself.. completely
Goodbye identification
With this.. “thing” I'm trying to be
Honestly, what takes more trust
Or faith
Than being myself?
Without restrictions or compromise
Reliance on second hand standards of behavior
In the process, awareness is cultivated...
Being aware whenever I'm not being myself
The suffering that results...
From the resistance and fear
And love.. unconditional love...
Anytime I choose to not be myself
Out of fear of being wrong, doing wrong,
Going against some belief system or ideology
I'm denying love to myself...
Seeing a part.. a natural part of myself
A natural expression of myself
As unlovable and inexpressible
Not good enough... worthy enough
To share with the world
And for what? WHAT?
Approval? Acceptance?
To buy my ticket to heaven?
That's not good enough for me
Sorry
I'm no longer for sale

Well this is for my Library.
Pertinent questions and in the last line answered. This is Individualism to the hilt with an Objective approach.Loved it since I can relate to this philosophy. Good work.
Thanks.

Self-possession is the first step to self-awareness which is in itself a entry point to self-definition. To be for others, one must first be for the self.
One point 'nother meaning'? surely it may read 'another meaning' or 'whole other meaning?' |

Excellent questions delivered in an understandable form.
This is similar to my "Existence and life", a short poem you might find
enjoyable. We should connect and be friends to read each others thoughts...they seem existentially exact.

| Very existential, but in a more modern and less overtly philosophical way; I like it. It has a nice beat and rhythm to it as well... One that seems to go hand in hand with the "no bull" message/attitude I got from it. Thanks for the read :-). |
