Empty Love

I, so sublime, in my heart, and in my mind
But only you are
But only you are
Your innocence is guarding what I’d like
Your darkness doused the sparkles from my eyes
Oh, but I’d love to see the color of your insides
You make me feel these emotions
But they’re not sifting through my thoughts tonight
An empty sense of devotion
But you’re still sleeping in my bed tonight
So I am lost
And tired
Of ripping out my hair night after night
And what to do
With my smile?
When it’s as crooked as our pathways
When it’s as crooked as my smile
Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies
