Rambling of a Choir Boy

Never believe a limping dog
The tears of a crying woman
Or the man who says he is the FATHER

Never believe surrealistic dreams
Involving your MOTHER

Pills get stuck in unsavory places
The residue is enough to kill you SLOWLY

Why not pop a vein
Go mainline
If slow is how you BLOW

Take photos of the event
For POSTERITY

But if a quick end is what you seek
Use the gun as a SURROGATE

And the priest said,
"The MEEK shall inherit the earth"

Never believe a limping dog
The tears of a woman
Or the man who says he is the FATHER

this was a sweet read... i have to admit that the capitalized words made me seek meaning in those words on their own like some kind of hidden code that isn't there and were more of a distraction for me..for me this would be more powerful if only the word father were typed in this way...the words posterity and surrogate and meek are strong enough words themselves, in my opinion...and for me they almost come across more strongly when whispered...but it's just a suggestion...thanx for the read:)
