Finding Myself

Who am I?
Nerd?
Bookworm?
Bitch?

Who am I?
deathrite?
bells?
diegentry?
Jewel?

Who am I?
A different persona for every group.
How do I know who I am when I'm constantly changing?
Being who they want me to be.
I was a mirror.
Reflecting what they wanted to see.
But I just broke.
Now they don't recognize me.
All that's left to do is to pick through the shards and find who I really am.

Here's what I found:
I am a 15-year-old nerd who loves anime and manga.
I love to read.
I love to be outside.
I love animals.
I am a klutz.
I'm impulsive.
This often gets me in trouble.
I have a short fuse.
I still like Pokemon.
All I want to do is help.
And you know what else I found?
For the first time in my life I am comfortable in my own skin.
It only took losing my best friend, my dad, and finally myself.
Lastly, it only took being pulled out of the dark by a band geek.

I liked the third verse best but the last one (and don't call me a hypocrite) sounded like some sort of teen-drama thing (avoid putting a phrase like 'It only took forever' together with the fact that you're 15. It ruins the mood of the poem for me)

"which station has your seat?
and which heart bear your secrets?
the places are asking me about you..
even my smile, asking me about you"

good work, and i guess by writing this poem you will find yourself..
