i can't help that my life means
nothing
i can only make the observation
i cannot prevent a texas drowning
i can only save the documentation

thunder under arenas shake
when empty
it all means
nothing

i can watch the snowflakes meld to the
smoke as it passes my window
through the dusk & evening

My smoke
oh
my smoke
where are you?
where am i going?

ashes rattle down the turnpike glass
and my vision is doubled and blurring

i am full on empty

gases deride

it all seems funny when its a quiet surprise
like warm milk when
mixed in with honey

shapelessness
a shapeless mess

what happened to the canister?
when am i to watch the time?
who am i to clock & meter?

anglo angels african debutantes
circle inside
beg for a ride
killing nonsense
rises up to scare
yet to no ones surprise

i sit with my
ferns
they are small
children
now
preoccupying my eyes with laughter

temptation fills the air
so does disaster

impulse control
hold on to
my impulse control

i have waited so long

i've waited so long
& nothing

only my hypnotised breath &
coma rising chest

my gaze is lurid
yet bored

it was my fault
to sleep
yesterday

bold & unprovoked
the call for yet
today

the gun was born muscular
tomorrow
