Two sides of a story

I’ve never seen it
That way before
I only knew
What was placed in front of me
A meal of lies and plots
With a side of evil intent

I only knew
What I was told
Their side of the story
How they saw it unfold

But now my ears are open
And I have seen
The way things truly
Must have been.
