A Taste

Tasting you
A child revelling in the sweet nectar of contact
I am stripped bare but still clothed
As you glimpse the flicker of a candle that I hide
It is not forbidden these kisses but pleasure no man can define
A thousand words
Conveyed in a single moment
Before long it is broken
And you leave me behind.

Your descriptions are nicely done and expressive. I enjoyed this piece a lot. The poem turns fluidly from love to loss (as love often does). The sense of the poem gets a little vaguer toward the "thousand words" but snaps back together by the end. Quite a pleasant piece.
