Seperation
I was lucky
I was the one of the only kids I knew
Who's parents where one
Instead of two
Then they started to fight
And my dad walked out
I cried enough for everybody
He came back, they tried
But he left again
I cried enough to be normal
He stayed away longer
But he came back again
It was the third and final time
That they could no longer try
He left, and stayed away
And my eyes remained dry
Ever since then
I’ve cried at night
Or when I’m alone
And no one else is home
I’ll go outside
And sit on a swing
To cry my eyes out
Where no one can see
