The lightness of fatality

Second-guessed as if the truth could make a difference
Short-sighted to the point where it might
My decision, still, is undefined
There is fear and significance in every joint
And I may very well waste away,
Consumed by another's addiction
I am part of a pleasure-cult
Surprisingly exclusive
And one day I will forget
That I was ever wise

I agree with the comment before me. I love how you kept it brief, yet at the same time telling a story that seems very difficult to tell, with very good word choices! very nice. thanks for sharing!

I really like your word choices here. "Second-guessed" and "short sighted" echo each other very nicely. This sounds like a very difficult, personal subject to write about, but you did a tremendous job with it.
