To my Friend

To be friends, than never know other
Our fate that was, destined to be,
As swift the wind, holdeth breath of life,
Many reach for other, few like you in strife,
Past deed and foible, made it to differ
Lest, not we suffer, to pardon is wise,
In times ahead, unknown, I pray to thee,
Not far from other and away never be,
Forever should last, as much as being friends
Can we prove in need, but when it fails
Be our essence of bind, like time unfailing
Doubt not our deep faith, no big a thing
Of the sun, moon, maketh that light and night
Maketh worst or best, with foe and friend,
Be ever happy, have no reason to wail,
Measure not our love, weigh not on scale

Friendship liveth beyond us, when
so pure, thy love forsake itself
So strong, thyself fear the jade,
Valued, as gold loseth lustre so fast
Where eternity fail to claim it outlast.
