It's not a question of resilience
Your personal experience
colors everything you'll ever do
Not to come off supercilious
but your actions are quite villainous
some are red and white and some are blue
You're on a mission
to arouse suspicion
What you believe is all there is to you
And now with the endorsement
you undertake enforcement
With the legions standing by
you gave the word

Your vision is another version of the world
by triumph of the virtue of the law
You're standing by while mothers cry
their children dispatched to the killing fields

It's not a matter of security
Your wanton immaturity
is evident in everything you say
I'm not a paragon of purity
but your arrogance is certainly
a borderline tyrannical display
You're on a quest
to hunt down and arrest
What you demand is all that we can do
And armed with flimsy evidence
you rattle off suspects
With the masses standing by
you're so assured

Your vision is another version of the world
by the drawing of the longest straw
Your step is spry the devotees die
one by one their approval is repealed

Your detractors and your benefactors
are rapidly becoming one and the same
You pinned the tail and then you bailed
leaving the donkey to take the blame
But that's not how the game is played

Your vision is another version of the world
by the reconstruction of what you preferred
On your way out the people shout
They were your mistakes but we're the ones who learned
That it took this long is really quite absurd
