untitled
begin the disasters of a new age
before the last reaches its apex
for potential is nothing more
than inert energy/
waiting for the right inertia
to spring life forward and roll it on
until the point of least resistance
is tangled in the past
where we started from is a monkey on a wheel
a dream at the head of the table
passing cabbage by slingshot
when you only wanted butter
it’s better to margarine the matter
wrap it in a pig’s blanket and
slip it down the gullet –
afraid of the sausage that mocks us
like
subcutaneous fat
in a pandemic era filled with enough illusion
& no magic anywhere
between fucking & television
(some fuck) – the television twinkles
its infinite stars in the dark to glow
on the faces in dark boxes
– sallow lips & sunken eyes –
begin the disasters!
of a new age?
carry on / carry
just as before, spit in the eye of
piece of pie, movin’ on up
deluxe apartments – antennas & wheels
perched like the testicles of robotic birds
begin the disasters, quick!
quick as honey
quick, like a bunny
hop hop
bounce around the daylight of wealth & power
let the dying rot for themselves
let the hungry eat their young
for a simple glass of water
it’s cool everything’s fine
I’ve got yours &/
you want mine
