It's a short book, only 140 pages. Here's the story;

There are little creatures called "dream givers" who sneak into peoples houses at night and collect memories from diffrent objects. They then use these memories to give humans dreams. The main character is a newly born dream giver name "Littlest". She is assigned a teacher and a house to go to each night. In the house lives an old woman and her newly adopted child, John. John came from an abusive home and has some... behavioral problems. As Littlest and her teacher have begun to strengthen the boy with good dreams, evil and changed dream givers, called "Sinisteeds", begin to interfere and give John nightmares. Will Littlest be able to defend John against the Sinisteeds?
