My Angel, We're a Lie
The challenge I hold before myself:
Finding the 'hapily ever after'
In this story of lust,
And erasing the memories that never rest...
So there he was,
Placed upon a pedestal
High above the clouds.
Oblivious was I
To believe we could be
Anything more than a secret.
My angel, you're a lie.
So jump down from your cloud
And spare me this breath-
Now pull me close
Then push me away,
It's all the same.
'Cause everytime I tried to run away,
All I could see was you...
Going from "don't fall for me"
To letting your walls down for me...
And in my time of dieing,
I fell alone.
6 feet under and digging deeper
And there he was, again
Placed upon a pedestal
High above the clouds,
Oblivious was I
To believe we could be
Anything more than a secret.
My angel, you're a lie.
So jump down from your cloud
And spare me this breath-
Now pull me close
Then push me away,
It's all the same.
And here I am again,
In the beginning of the end...
'cause my angel, we're a lie.
