Spring

Heat pervades the inner sanctum of my car
I wait for the air to come through opened windows
It touches my face in soft breezy fingertips
spreading over me in pulses.

I feel the change in the seasons, it weighs me down
and lifts me higher than I have ever been.
I soar through the new green growth of trees
into the azure of the sky.

I smell the aroma of new grass and flowers and
life burns within me.

I agree with Orpheus. This is a mind candy for the senses. Beautifully written.
