Group Mentality

Group mentality
A Layer of identity
Unearned pride
Sharing karma with the group

Family identity
Religion, race, party, 'small town'
The pride and pleasure of belonging
Whatever group you choose

(...or chooses YOU!)

Group gets insulted
You get to be offended!
Group gets commended
Give your back a pat!

(Good job!)

Association with the group
Locking your identity with the group
Riding the emotions of the group
You're in it.. so it must be the best group!

When will you learn?
That identity isn't you
The pride was never earned!
Unearned pride isn't self-esteem

Believing yourself to be part
Additional suffering results

You have to react!
Defend your family name!
Every identity steals some peace,
No exceptions in this game

But hey... at least you belong

Right?
