“Such a cute puppy. What’s his name?”

“Bubba. That’s what they said at the shelter.”

“Come here, Bubba. Come here, sweetie.” Tori clapped her hands together. A churning mass of legs and ears bounded over to her. She scooped him up on her lap.

“Careful. He gets really excited when you pick-”

“Aaayyyy. Oh shit!”

i've worked in pet shops and had dogs all my life, but managed to avoid such incidents so far (knock on wood).Perhaps, I can read the signs. Loved that it relied mainly on dialogue, and what great dialogue it was!
