Inside Your Kiss

The world washes away inside your kiss
The pain disappears under your fingertips
My world seems cold when you’re not around
My thoughts filled with longing to hear your sound

All I want is to beg you to stay
But all I can do is walk away
My need for you just goes so deep
These secrets I can’t seem to keep

Things I try so hard not to express
All these feelings I have repressed
I didn’t mean to let you know
You are the breath inside my soul

I didn’t mean to show, or let you see
These emotions deep inside of me
When you’re this close, I get so weak
It’s amazing I can even speak

These desperate words fall from my lips
As my love and trepidation divide then mix
I try so hard to keep these emotions contained
But at the end of the day, I’m internally drained

I will try my best not to expose
What’s emerged inside that no one knows
I’ll keep these dreams and thoughts to myself
I’ll put my love on this imaginary shelf

An interesting take on rhyming, but if you're really going to do this, it needs to be perfect. I know it's difficult, but...:-)
