Warning Sign - Wee Challenge 33
“Marvellous vintage.”
Viscous, amber liquid swirls around an engraved crystal bauble, refracting a lick of firelight as Churchill leans forward. Aniline leather creaks.
“It’s Maison Dudognon.”
The cognac caresses his tongue, Montecristo cigar smoke escapes his mouth in wisps as he speaks.
“This could mean trouble, Neville.”
“Nonsense.”
Stray ash settles on the cover of Mein Kampf.
"We'll see."

| wow, nicely done. Very visual, and packed with detail - and it flowed nicely as well. I could see this expanding into a short story as well. |

| Good use of the language. You have created quite a scene in the space allowed. This would expand nicely into a short story, or even a chapter. Very nice work. |

Great stuff for a 60 words - a well described scene, good dialogue and a wonderful idea of the precursor to the huge story that was about to unfold.
Thanks for the read |

| Though I had to read it twice, it was a good story. |

Aaw. This is quite an extravaganza for a mere 60 words. I'm tempted to try and prove that Chamberlain and Churchill were on opposing sides of the house or something when Mein Kampf was first published, just so's I'd have a crit to make, but I'm too impressed.
Thanks for the read XX |
