Category 5 Alicia
There's a storm raging
in my soul tonight,
Wildly, madly,
hitting
Hard
with the velocity,
the ferocity
of a category five,
winds whipping,
furies slashing,
tossing,
hurtling hurts
and sorrows
with the momentum
of a bullet train,
throwing memories
so long buried,
arrow sharp,
excruciating ...
My emotional chaos
Swirling,
Funneling,
Channeling
dark spirits attempting
to reside in my core,
the eye of my quiet place
and
I raise my fist
in righteous wrath and denial,
defending my emotional fortress,
the ocean foam white waves
that are me,
crashing, pounding,
my angry swells sweeping
across
the ocean of impurity
attempting
to wash me out to sea,
to lose me in the waves
of despair...
My forces gather powerfully,
forcefully,
My indignant convictions
unleashing a fury so
Overwhelming,
powerfully sweeping,
washing clean
that which attempts
to weaken the vortex of strength
that feeds me,
compels me,
drives me...and
I lay
Waste
to the forces trying to
lessen and
demolish me ...
I survey the havoc
I have wreaked upon
the demonic plains
of desperation,
laying flat
the barbaric excesses of my pain,
my angers,
my spirit calming,
flat lining
in a sea of tranquility,
and I am once again rested,
hypnotic,
waiting for
the next hurricane season,
Laying dormant
Calm
Reborn ...
...in the eye
of my storm...
