As I look down

As I look down.

I look at the ground.
Simple rivulets make no sound.
We talk, and forget the past.
For it is easy at last.

As I look down
I see your feet,
Walking beside me
As a sign of need
I speak my mind, and you see.

How we belong right here and now.
Simple rivulets make no sound.
It was a simple mischief act of fear.
Now we hold no bounds and everything is clear.

As I look down
I see your face in the lines that I walk
I hear your voice as we talk.

As I look down
I understand, and see
At just what we can be.

We hold our hands together and see why.
Why the clouds fly so high,
To not only escape this life,
But to just why.

As I stand here and look to you.
I feel no fear, and wither and die.
As we walk side beside we know
I see how things are slow.

Step with me and see,

As I look down.
