Extremes
Neither the Moon, which pulls
at the ocean, or Gravity, which pulls at everything,
is acting correctly.
Nor is the Sun, which holds
all the planets so close.
But everything
should not
just go floating either
into the icicled abyss.
All objects and people ought
to feel the slight
pull of the Moon and the weak
pressure of Gravity and the faint
hold of the Sun--all pushing, pulling until they combine
into a sacred, yet secular balance.
