White Noise

Let us talk,
Into the evening, the night, and the evening again,
In this room with not a single window,
We shall share,
This entire world with all the words we have.

We might not have long,
Or we might have forever,
In this little room,
Locked away,
Forgotten,
Squandering away our time on meaningless,
Miscellaneous,
Frivolity.

Our world is separate from others,
Hidden,
Distant from normality,
We have each other,
Our words,
Our own world,
Until words turn to white noise,
And our world cracks in the middle,
Crumbling into the darkness of an unknown universe.
I knew I couldn’t love you forever.

The terms "world" and "words" are used a lot, but I still enjoyed. The last line really did it for me; the second I read it, it gave the poem new meaning for me. Thanks for a good read!
