I GIVE THE WORD


I give the word and nothing happens;
I give the word and nothing appears.

I say come here and no one comes;
I say go there and no one goes.

I say this is that and no one listens;
I say that is this and no one hears.

I say the kingdom is nigh and no one gathers;
I say eternity awaits and no one shows.

Yet I’ll forgive you all if you’ll only ask;
Glory is Mine so you can drop your mask.

I will be here ‘til the end of time;
Guiding and leading those who’ll be mine.
