Our Conversation
OUR CONVERSATION
(02.21.08)
Must contain a sense of peaceful intent,
Eventually at least,
We may begin,
In heated disagreement,
When we one day will,
Collectively,
Hear those rhythms,
When we speak freely,
Peace has its own peace,
A singular rhythm,
Pleasing to our children,
Our people,
We are not each different,
We are equal,
We are diseased if,
Exploiting the economically weak,
Is organized and policed,
With each tongue lashing,
Intended to break the very spirit of another,
And many others,
And their fathers and mothers,
And their cousins and brothers,
Does that mean,
Man’s thoughts are unclean,
Fighting against our earth,
As if,
She doesn’t breath,
With these things that,
Spring forth from her womb,
Her trees,
Her beaches,
Her beautiful scenes,
Her planet screams,
For a universally uplifted,
Generosity of spirit.
