Songs of Grub Street

I listen to the songs of Grub Street
All of which couldn't ever be beat
They waft down onto my waiting ear
And are somehow able to ease my fear
But most are heard but one time

I listen to the songs of Grub Street
All of which couldn't ever be beat
The finest my London can give me
This is all most of the poets will see
But most are heard but one time

I listen to the songs of Grub Street
All of which couldn't ever be beat
I wish the poets could be given their due
Though all of them seem to have that hue
For most are heard but one time

I listen to the songs of Grub Street
All of which couldn't ever be beat
And to the Hackneys as they idly sing
So I can shall give them that one thing
For most are heard but one time

I absolutely adore the repetition, and this show much meaning. I love the way you worded it too. So sophisticated in vocabulary.
