Listen

Listen to the mantra of the trees
Listen to the mantra of the breeze
Listen to the mantra of a freezing rain
Then listen once again
To the mantra of our lives

Listen to the mantra of a lover’s breathing
Listen to the mantra of a mother’s grieving
Listen to the mantra of a brook
That trickles through its course
Listen to the mantra of the source
Then listen once again
To the mantra of our lives

Nice images. Good to see poems that appeal to more than one sense, too.

WOW....just...wow. I saw the first line of this poem come up on a poetry search, and knew I had to read it. Very deep, very moving poem.
