Wishing Life Away

We spend our days wishing life away
For our next big moment to the next pay day
From new years resolutions to birthday celebrations
An evening with our friends
Hoping it never ends
A life wished away, surely is a life wasted
Especially when moments come and we hesitated
Regrets removing time which we have little to spare
Reminding us that the days enwhich we have we should care
Whats so great about the future?
When the present can be just as mutual
Wheres the thought in looking to retirement
And boosting expectations that lead to lament

We boost ecpectations to fool ourselves into thinking everything will be all right...we are in denial.
Always love a poem that tells the truth. It's brilliantly written
