i guess

(sharing is painful:)
You might like it or hate it. I don't know how I feel about it.

Here goes:

i guess
***********
wild animals
blasting mating calls
from stereos
in the bedrooms of houses
i question the purpose
of the love songs
wondering if they
really insert the love
in the making of
or if they exist as brilliant
peacock feathers
designed to
mesmerize
hypnotizing a partner
to participate in the
march of life
what then am i as wife?
even the king's current queen of
the jungle
does not take grasp of that
title
and at times
i feel that i
was merely an animal
wearing a white dress
making a promise on a
bible
spraying my scent to all
of my rivals...
i guess...

a well done and interesting idea.
i'll admit the structures a bit shaky when you read it aloud, but it gains traction and you create a vivid and deep piece of writing.
good job!

Wow that was a powerful idea. I'd love to hear this idea develop even more. This poem was great. I loved the animal metaphor.
