Caring Mary
So you keep wearing
That same small dress
Bona fide popstar
Borderline slut.
You make the same dish
And everyone eats,
Delicious,
As you stuff them
With antacids,
Clinging to musical relevance.
The world has touched
Your body
With a similar rhythm,
Until they tire of you
And those monotonous thighs,
And a life
That lacks originality.
How dare you even
Compare yourself
To Einstein’s legend.

Yes, the poem brings forth very mixed emotions as to how the author sees and feels about the person portrayed but then, that is the intention I assume. It is definitely an interesting read. Gripping.

Can't say that I understood the piece completely, particularly the ending yet, it holds a very strong appeal throughout. The beginning is excellent. I feel like there is an admiration for the character at the same time there is a disgust. Interesting write.

She seems like a person I wouldn't want to know. This is a great poem, and I think this speaks volumes.
