Miracles

In the beginning of a sunrise,
Your mind seems to become calm.
As the purple mountains grow darker,
The blood in your veins start to warm

Beauty flowing throughout the sky,
Wonder filling your aware mind,
Never failing to make all things right…
Once the sun falls, everything seems kind.

An ocean’s wave crashes against the sandy shore,
Your finger’s tingle at it’s sound.
Your eyes wander, searching for the location,
For you need to know what is all around.

A child’s first step makes all the difference,
In a failing marriage or a selfish argument.
The light that consumes your entire body in that single moment,
Seems to make everything in your life suddenly make sense.

The many miracles this world holds,
Amazes you and I each and every day.
Wondering what will come next, and what to expect,
Yet still awaiting the next time you’ll see flowers in May.
