Hypothermia
A single spark
Than another
Meeting
Flash fire fast
A combustion
Meteoric
In it’s rise
To the skies
It’s flare
Shooting higher
Until the flames
Are contained
In this simmering
Pyre
and
This fire
Gone cold
And impersonal
Midflight
Leveling out
Flat lined
Only to
Burn and
flicker high
In the dark
Of night
Yet
Cooling
With the rising …
… of the sun….
Leaving me
Hypothermic
In the chill
And left out
In the cold …
Has the fire
Burned out
Before it’s
Begun?

| Orpheous I laughed loud and long when I read your comment....I'm very familiar with Freud...*grin*....I can assure you that it does not reflect premature engine failure...... |

| Matt, just questions, fragile emotions and uncertainties that everyone of us go through when first entering a relationship....it's not meant to be sad, its meant to convey these uncertainties..... |

| hypothermia? get it all the time. highly freudian interpretation of rockets and the like allows me to deduce premature engine failure. lol |

strong sense of rising, then falling action. left me somewhat sad at the end, expecially w/ 'Leaving me, Hypothermic, In the chill', and 'Has the fire, Burned out, Before it’s, Begun?'
but that is the priviledge of the writer, to craft emotion.
well done w/ that....m |
