The painful surrendering to new beginnings

A waking moment in sleep
where a thought is making its way
it rushes through
unforgivable love
leaving you forsaken
for an instant of relief

It is
a love of resignation
the forlorn mask
still dripping from its mold
laid bare
on the winter soil
mastering silence.
