Stacey's Story

The teacher droaned on and on. Stacey sat there. Bored. She had slightly dozed off. She dreamt about the dance on friday.

She had been asked by three guys. Now the real trick was getting approval from her mother.

Her mother was very over protective and she never let her go anywhere. She made a weekly call to all her teacher about her grades and never let her get anything below an "A-".

When Stacey got home, her mother was watching oprah on the television set. She walked in, took her shoes off, and sat down her bag. When she sat down her mother was crying. She looked at the T.V. and they were interviewing some fat kid. Maybe I should just get fat, Stacey thought, then maybe she would care about me. Her mother paused the television set.

"What's Wrong?" Jennifer asked.
"Mom.....I have something to ask you."
"Well if it's about the dance on friday, no."
"What? Why?"
"Because when I made my weekly call to Mr.C he said you have a B-, and you know I don't tolerate those grades!"
"Why cant't you let me go once? You never let me do anything! Please?"
"NO and that's my final answer, now go do your chores."

Stacey couldn't belive it! She never got in trouble at school. Why can't she let her go?

***************************************************************************
The next day at school, she told all her friends. They couldn't believe it! Marah said if she was brave she would sneak out. "THAT'S IT!!!", She shouted.

She had it all planned out by the time the bell rang. She would sneak out after her mom went to sleep. She would go to the dance and sneak back in, no harm done, right?

As time passed, it became Friday. She said good night to her mother, walked upstairs, and pulled up the blanket clear up to her chin, so her mother wouldn't see her clothes.

As she listened she started to get anxious. Her mother was starting to creep up the stairs. She closed her eyes tightly and prayed her mother wouldn't come in, and she didn't.

Once she heard her mom start snoring, she tip-toed to her bedroom door and paused. She creeped down the stairs and was espically careful to skip the squeaky stair. she quickly opened the door so it wouldn't creak, and she left it unlocked so she could get back in.

She was so happy that was over. She ran and ran to the school. once she got there her boyfriend was alread there. He told her she needed to hear something and so they went behind the school.
"there's something i need to tell you.", he said
"what?"
"ummmm. don't be mad okay?"
"okay."

she smiled at him, but he seemed nervous. this was getting mysterious.
"I'm gay. I just wanted to go to the dance with you to get to your ex."

She looked at him for three seconds. Then, she turned and started to run. Great, she thought, I snuck out for him. She was distracted and ran out in front of a car.

CRASH!!!!!!!

Jennifer sat up and wiped the sweat off her forhead. She wondered what that crash was and she realised it was sunday the 11th,Mother's day. She ran downstairs and walked into the kitchen and saw stacey, making breakfast.
