Unfolding of Fate

It’s night time, it’s moonlight.
It’s quiet, there’s starlight.
There’s our lips, and our souls.
There’s blankets, and fate knows.
Our lips have been sharp
they’ve destroyed hearts,
But tonight, they sing another song..
Tonight, the black sky, and starlight,
Your lips and mine, with moonlight,
They’ll sing another song.
They’ll sing of your eyes, like a wispy dream.
They’ll sing of my eyes, in delirium.
My mouth, it wonders
What your lips can sing, even
what they taste like.
It’s our time, it’s moonlight
it’s quiet, with starlight
no nagging, no crying,
no whining, no her
no him, no them.
just your lips
and mine.
In starlight, in moonlight, in darkness.
