Everyone has an opinion of me
who I am
Or who they want to see
But can I be? Will you let me be
Just me by grace?
I do not know what the future holds
But if I trust in God, I'm told
That all the truth in front of me will unfold
And I will be allowed to be
Just me by grace
Let God lead you, I heard you say
As you proceed to show me your way
And then get upset when I stray
Weren't you the one who advised me to be
Just me by grace?
So while you wait for me to make mistakes
He knows the path I'll undertake
My future is in His hands and His to make
And for His purpose, I will be
Just me by grace.

very well related, the existential dilemma that is deep within us all. You know I dont share youre faith but I respect it, and here you have given good account of the difficulty in ploughing the furrow between being right in th eyes of others, and having the right to be wrong sometimes. I hope you will always be, just you by grace.
