Though you are mute, you still speak
Though you are deaf, you still hear
Though you are blind, you still see
Though you do not sleep, you still dream
Though you do not move, you still are observed
Though you may not pray, your pain is still acknowledged
Though you may not think, you still are responsible
Though you may not know, you still can learn
You are always heard, and yet you never utter a word
So many words gone unspoken, so many lives broken
Many want to speak, but we do not pause to let even a word leak
Brilliant minds left undiscovered, while useless words stay uncovered
We move for pety things, instead of things that truly make our heart sing
The disagreeing ones continue with the rest of the world
down the river of tragedy
around the bend of misery
only to stop at the lake of pity
Guilt and the need for acceptance in our mere human nature
It's current so strong, one that constantly tries to pull us all along
Doubt and confusion in our minds
It's waves so high, those that push you back even before you try
Behave like the sea turtle
At birth left alone to fight the cascading waves all alone
Born without fear they push on
Even when the seagull taughts from above and promotes his suggestions
Don't try to hard
Allow the sand to engulf you
Let me take you where you need to be
Just for a moment and see the way I see
Give me your hand and I'll take you across dry land
With a sweet solo by the ocean, it pulls there body into motion
We never speak in solos, always together with whomever
Born without fear we walk on
Soon we begin to fall
The current strikes fear quickly
The waves placing doubt within us
Our fear feeds and continues to grow
Soon it doesn't matter the topic, the one with the most earns the vote
Acceptance
Don't disagree with the majority
Becareful you must always fit in
Stay forward
Don't you dare go backward
It's right to us, therefore it must be right in the world
Promoting useless things
Strumming pointless strings
We poison this world we were so graciously given
Freely given to us
Yet now we make others pay to enjoy
One nation under God we claim
Though we kill as if the nation under Satan
Hands stained with innocent blood
Imprints of faces in the mud
Traces of children crying caught on the wind
Glimpses of battered people seen in the fallen leaves
Pause for a moment and think
If this really the way we want our lives to be
Disagree with the crowds tone
Even if you're all alone
Stand up and go a different way to make this a better day
Listen to your heart
Do you hear the rhythm
Dance when everyone else is walking
Even as they tell you to come with them
Breath you're opinion
Speak your mind
Ignore everyone else
This is your time to speak your mind
Break free of your bonds
The chains holding you to everyone else
Those ropes tying you to the ground
Wait a moment and just breathe
Enjoy how it feels to be free
Forget you're fear and stand out
Change this place, argue your case
For the good
By the grace of God
It's time for a change of pace
Speak up no matter your race
Clean up this toxic disaster
Freedom becomes us
Close your eyes, you can finally fly.
